Holiday Weekend: Naples, FL

Fourth of July Weekend!

For the 4th of July weekend I took a little trip to Naples, Florida.

Under The Naples Pier!

What is there to do in South-West Florida in the Summer? It’s not your typical sightseeing party town. This was a relaxation trip, just like long weekends should be. There will be no need to take a vacation from my vacation. It just left me with a feeling of longing once again because I get attached to my dear friends and family. What I did was, catch up with my friend’s parents, drank coffee with my aunt on her kitchen late at night, and hang out with my siblings and mom at the beach.

With sunsets like these…

Initially, I had planned to hit the restaurant scene, eat tons of seafood, take a day-trip to Miami or Orlando, but I ran out of time. Relaxation took over me, and I enjoyed all the home-cooked meals, eating key lime pie from Publix straight from the container with a fork at 2 am and a charming all-you-can-eat buffet that I have been going to with my family for over a decade.

This get away taught me to throw the planning out the window and just take in the sun rays and enjoy my time with the people I love. It all slips by so fast, it’s nice to feel life in slow motion.

Even if I didn’t get much accomplished there are a few things you should do, If you visits Naples:
